Testosterone cypionate pairs testosterone with an eight-carbon ester that releases it over roughly a week. It is the version of testosterone most often written on prescriptions in Canada and the United States.
Once the ester is removed, the body treats it exactly like its own testosterone: it binds androgen receptors, increases red blood cell production and partly converts to estradiol and DHT, while the brain turns down natural production.
From PubChem, the US National Library of Medicine’s chemistry database.

Labels for testosterone cypionate list 50 to 400 mg every two to four weeks for men with low testosterone. In current practice most physicians prescribe about 75 to 100 mg once a week, or half that twice a week, and adjust from bloodwork.
Label and guideline amounts are shown for reference only. They are not a recommendation, and we never give cycle or performance amounts. Any use belongs under a doctor’s care, with bloodwork.
Converts an amount you enter into what to measure. It does not suggest an amount.

Testosterone Cypionate is an oil for intramuscular (IM) injection: deep into a large muscle, never under the skin or into a vein. Our injectables are made in MCT oil, which is thinner than the seed oils many labs use, so it draws and flows through a 25G needle more easily.
Finding it. Place the heel of your hand on the bony bump at the top of the outer thigh, point your index finger at the front hip bone and spread your middle finger back along the hip crest. Inject in the centre of the V between the two fingers.
Why it is used. Current nursing guidance favours it for adults: a thick muscle under a thin, predictable fat layer, with no large nerves or vessels in the target area.
Watch out. The landmarks take practice; use a mirror or a helper the first few times.
Finding it. Divide the thigh between hip and knee into thirds and use the middle third, on the outer front surface.
Why it is used. Easy to see and reach while seated, with plenty of muscle and well away from the main nerves.
Watch out. Keep to the outer side: the femoral nerve and vessels run along the inner front of the thigh.
Finding it. Find the bony tip of the shoulder; the site is the thickest part of the muscle two to three finger-widths below it, in the middle of the outer arm.
Why it is used. Quick to reach and expose, which is why vaccines are given here. Suits small volumes only.
Watch out. A small muscle: larger volumes hurt. The axillary and radial nerves lie below the safe zone, so do not go low.
Finding it. The traditional upper outer quarter of the buttock.
Why it is used. A large and familiar muscle that older guides still show.
Watch out. Nursing guidance has moved away from it: the sciatic nerve and superior gluteal artery are close by and the fat layer is thicker. The ventrogluteal site reaches the same muscle group more safely.
Every time: wash your hands, wipe the vial stopper and skin with alcohol, use a new sterile needle and syringe, and never share. See a doctor for spreading redness, heat, swelling, pus, fever or numbness. This is general guidance from standard nursing practice, not medical advice; a pharmacist or nurse can show you in person.
The testes shrink and sperm production falls while you use it, and may take months to return.
A thicker blood count raises clot and stroke risk; doctors check it every few months.
Higher blood pressure and lower HDL cholesterol, worse at larger amounts.
Conversion to estradiol can cause fluid retention and breast tissue growth.
Common, and hair loss is faster in men prone to male-pattern baldness.
People under 18, anyone pregnant or breastfeeding, and anyone with prostate or breast cancer, heart disease, uncontrolled blood pressure, a high red blood cell count, untreated sleep apnea, or liver or kidney disease.
