Syringes and bacteriostatic water: what to know

Which syringe for what

Oil-based injectables use a 3 ml syringe with a 25-gauge needle. Mixed peptides, HCG and growth hormone are measured in units with a U-100 insulin syringe such as the EasyTouch 30G.

Bacteriostatic water

Sterile water with 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a preservative, used to mix freeze-dried powders so the vial can be used more than once.

Single use, safe disposal

Use a new syringe every time and never share one. Many Canadian pharmacies accept used sharps in a proper sharps container.

Shipped with your order

Supplies ship in the same parcel as the rest of your order and count toward free Xpresspost over $300.

Questions

Supplies: common questions

How many syringes come in a pack?

Ten, individually sealed.

Can I use an insulin syringe for oil?

Thin insulin needles are not made for viscous oil. Use the 3 ml syringe with a 25-gauge needle for oils.

Is bacteriostatic water the same as sterile water?

No. Bacteriostatic water contains benzyl alcohol, which slows bacterial growth in a vial that is used more than once.

Do I need supplies for tablets?

No. Tablets need nothing else.
